Cona or Vacuum

The most spectacular and hypnotic coffee maker. It produces a very delicate cup of coffee full of nuances. One of our favorites to show off as a fan.

Use a 1:12 ratio, that is, 300 grams of water with 25 grams of coffee. The coffee grind should be coarse.

Preparation

STEP 1 – GRIND AND WEIGH

Grind 25g of coffee, coarse grind.

STEP 2 – PREPARE THE FILTER

Place the paper filter into the metal filter by screwing it in, then place it in the lower part of the upper siphon component, or "hopper," and attach it to the lower part of the hopper's glass tube.

STEP 3 – HEAT IT UP

Fill the "bulb" with 300 grams of previously heated water. Place the empty upper hopper and put the heat source underneath. Be patient. The show hasn't started yet.

STEP 4 – THE STAR STEP

The water in the bulb will start to boil and rise to the upper hopper. It's normal for a little water to remain at the bottom. Add the coffee at this precise moment and stir to mix it well with the water.

STEP 5 – LET THE MAGIC HAPPEN

Start the timer and let it brew for 2 minutes. Once the time is up, stir again and remove the heat source. Now enjoy the final show as the coffee flows back down into the lower bulb.

STEP 6 – SERVE AND ENJOY!

Pour this Goya-worthy coffee into a cup and let it cool slightly before taking your first sip. Bravo, maestro!
